Massage Therapy and Cosmetology have achieved unprecedented popularity in recent years. Career opportunities are on the rise for the Licensed Massage Therapist and Cosmetologist in private health clubs, day spas, cruise ships, resorts, beauty salons, corporations and stress reduction/relaxation centers. Opportunities to work in association with other health practitioners such as chiropractors, medical doctors, dentists and physical therapists also exist.
As a graduate of this Institution’s didactic and practical therapy instruction, the graduate would qualify to obtain the highest level of National certification in their respective fields. CVQs from NTA in Cosmetology, a Diploma in Professional Therapeutic Massage and then proceed to write the national license.
PROGRAM AIMS AND OUTCOMES
It is expected that on completion of the Massage and Cosmetology Programs, graduates will have attained skills, knowledge and attitudes through a well-balanced Program integrating the scientific theory and practical skills to perform Industry relevant services. The Programs also include providing students with life skills to ensure personal and professional development which will prepare and develop graduates to enter a career of Massage Therapy and Cosmetology.
