Personal Trainer & Fitness Instructor Course

Curriculum & Standards
Since a certificate is no more valuable than the training behind it, the college subscribes to a demanding curriculum taught by professionals who have had extensive training in other countries. All courses meet and surpass standards set by foreign professional organizations like A.M.T.A and A.C.S.M. and local bodies like N.T.A. The College is also registered with the Ministry of Education #1314.

Program Structure
The college offers a training course, which is sixty hours in length extending over a ten-week period. Classes meet twice a week for three-hour sessions. Unlike weekend cram courses the college attracts serious and discerning students who want more than certification - they want a first class education.

Fitness Instructor
This course provides a comprehensive knowledge base which is foundational to the different areas of fitness leadership. Through lecture and demonstration, students learn the principles of exercise science, which enable instructors to work safely and effectively with the public. In addition to aspiring and practicing instructors, many individuals, including athletes, coaches or members of the public can take this course to improve their own personal fitness programs.

The course is conducted at our Marabella campus and includes the following content areas: Health and Fitness Overview, Myths and Quackery, Instructor Philosophy and Standards, Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, Sports Nutrition, Cardiovascular, Muscular and Flexibility Training, Exercise Prescription, Injury Prevention and Emergency Procedures. Upon completion students will be awarded a Fitness Instructor certificate which verifies that the individual has undergone formal training from an academic institution recognised nationally.
